Canberra Beer Week 2015

Schooners, pints, jugs and pots – all of you beer aficionados, suds masters and ale enthusiasts would know exactly what these words are referring to… and we have just the event for you.

Canberra Beer Week is set to galvanise the increasing interest in craft beer by bringing the best brewers in Australian and the world to Canberra, for a weeklong carnival dedicated to the golden nectar of the gods. We think it’s the perfect reason to take an entire week of work, just sayin’

The week will run from November 5 – 11 with ‘Beer Day Out” Craft Beer Festival at The Former Dept, Kingston on the Friday and Saturday. Canberra Beer Week will showcase six days of tap takeovers, beer dinners, trivia nights, meet-the-brewer events, movie/brewery event and more. Who knew that Canberra had such a love for all amber liquid related things?!

This year’s Beer Day Out (November 6 – 7) will showcase 30 local, interstate and international breweries, pouring more than 150 different beers and ciders amidst master classes, roving entertainment and international culinary options to suit every palette. ‘The Beer Diva’, Kirrilly Waldhorn, will be designing and running all the master classes at Beer Day Out. Kirrilly is the Editor of BeerStyle, former Editor of Beer & Brewer Magazine and is also a beer judge and in-demand speaker at all the major beer awards. She almost definitely loves beer more than you do.

To make it easier for all of the beer goers in town, during Canberra Beer Week, and so that you can enjoy a slice of craft beer heaven at any time of the day; BentSpoke Brewing Co, The George Harcourt Inn and The Durham Castle Arms have been set up as headquarters throughout the event.
